Katherine Emergency Department is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager with a passion for delivering high quality acute and critical care services in our rural and remote setting. The Clinical Nurse Manager will work with a multidisciplinary team, in a unique environment with a varied and interesting clinical case mix. The team in Katherine ED is committed to providing excellent emergency care with goals to continue expanding our service delivery to the communities and people of the Big Rivers Region. The role of Clinical Nurse Manager would suit an experienced Emergency Registered Nurse who has an interest and passion for delivery of emergency care in rural and remote Australia. The successful candidate will have a track record in leadership and a commitment to clinical governance.
The Katherine Hospital Emergency Department has 18,000 presentations a year with a mix of adult and paediatric patients. Based in the Big Rivers Region of the Northern territory which services twenty one remote Indigenous communities, our department fosters and seeks individuals with an interest in Indigenous health, preservation and culturally safe practice working with the many challenges of health care service delivery. Katherine hospital is uniquely placed to offer the challenges of tropical medicine, trauma, remoteness, high acuity and patients with complex comorbidities. Katherine maintains good working relationships with retrieval services and the Royal Darwin Hospital providing scope for maintaining professional networks and skills.
