Nursery Person
Flower Power is seeking a skilled and dedicated nurseryperson to join our team as soon as possible.The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, strong plant care skills, and good organisational & time management skills.As a nurseryperson, you will be responsible for the cultivation, propagation & maintenance of plants in our nursery.Your responsibilities will also include:
- Selecting seeds and cuttings based on quality parameters
- Supervising pre-planting and cultural operations
- Implementing pest and disease control measures, both biological and chemical
- Properly watering and fertilizing plants and trees to ensure optimal quality and growth
- Pruning plants and trees in accordance with Australian standards
- Utilizing computers for data capture and processing.
You will be required to:
- Demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience
- Possess a Certificate in Horticulture (or equivalent)
- Exhibit a strong commitment to safety, environmental awareness, and maintaining quality standards
- Have an excellent knowledge of plants, pests & diseases
- Be knowledgeable and passionate about sustainable practices.
