The Workforce Innovation Strategy Education and Research (WISER) team supports education, professional practice, governance, grad program coordination, informatics, research and projects aligned to Allied Health at Monash health. The Student Coordinator team is a cohesive and innovative team providing best practice education experiences for students on placement at Monash health.About The RoleWe are excited to offer a new opportunity in collaboration with the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food at Monash University for a Nutrition and Dietetics Student Co-ordinator/Practice Academic to join our team. This role is part time ongoing at .7EFT Grade 3 Dietetics classification.The Student coordinator/Practice Academic role supports Dietetics students to have positive educational experiences at Monash health along with supporting clinical educators. The role requires close collaboration and engagement with Monash University based academics and contribute to teaching elements connected with practical placements. The role will also have strong connection with Dietetics Head of Profession.About YouYou have been developing your education and leadership skills with at least seven years clinical practice experience, ideally in a public health setting. You are ready to take this next step in your Career. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based care to all patients. What You Need:
  • Approved undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a Dietetics Australia (DA) accredited course or an approved Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent qualification) followed by a postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a DA accredited course or The DSR dietetics examination for overseas trained dietitians, administered by DA.
  • Demonstrated seven years relevant clinical experience
  • Current Accredited Practicing Dietician (APD) or an AdvAPD status and maintaining this accreditation annually.
  • Have or working towards a post graduate education qualification
