The Position:
Contributing to the delivery of high-quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology care. Managing patients in collaboration with Consultants, GP Obstetricians, Midwives, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals, you will participate in a range of clinics.
- This position reports to the Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Under the supervision of the relevant consultants, initiate, maintain, and be responsible for the clinical care of patients.
- Conduct day to day review of patients.
- Ensure comprehensive, accurate. and concise medical records are maintained for patients.
- Contribute to quality patient care by participation in case planning which includes appropriate pre-admission planning, in-hospital care, and discharge planning.
- Arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment, and discharge as directed.
- Maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the health service and with local medical practitioners to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the hospital.
To be successful in this role you must have MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
You will be required to undertake clinical duties within the department including elective and on call commitments. This role provides high quality, patient centred care to inpatients and outpatients while under the supervision of the Head of Department.

As the flagship hospital, they are focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care.
Facilities include birthing suites, single and double rooms with ensuite and access to a neonatal unit.
