OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE
NRG Gladstone Operating Services (NRGGOS) is currently seeking to appoint a Casual Occupational Health Nurse to join our onsite Health Centre.
This role is a key position for the Gladstone Power Station in managing the Occupational Health Centre under the guidance of our Health Specialist, with injury and illness management, onsite health care and surveillance, mental health and wellbeing support, manage rehabilitation and return to work and Occupational Health and hygiene systems and processes within the Station.
This role requires a good understanding of OH&S practices, OSHA record keeping and an ability to maintain and follow Occupational Health procedures to ensure that all identified health concerns are identified early and managed appropriately.
The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications or equivalent as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration in Australia, partnered with experience working in a similar Occupational Health industry role. It is essential to have training and experience in Advanced First Aid and Resuscitation. It is desirable for the applicant to have a minimum 5 years’ nursing experience.
It will be highly regarded if applicants have qualifications, training and experience in the following, however training can be provided to the successful candidate if they do not have these.
- Drug and Alcohol testing
- Audiometry and Spirometry (QIP accredited) Certificates
- Respiratory Face Fit Accredited Certificate
- Workcover, rehabilitation and return to work training.
This position requires the ability to work autonomously, ability to work flexible hours, excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, and highly developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical
