Occupational Therapist

As a remote Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across the country. This is a 13 month maternity contract. Full Time or Part Time hours are available.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with older adults. In this role, you will be responsible for providing face to face and telehealth therapy sessions, assessments, and interventions to clients within Hunter regoin. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

It is a condition of employment that all frontline staff who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination must be fully vaccinated (3 doses) in line with our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. To comply with our Policy, integratedliving will require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status to check compliance prior to employment.

• Conduct face to face & telehealth assessments to evaluate client's physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
• Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based practice.
• Promote remote therapy sessions using a variety of modalities, using telehealth platforms.
• Educate clients and their caregivers on adaptive equipment, home modifications, and strategies to enhance independence and safety.
• Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy for older adults.

What you will need 

• Bachelor or Masters degree in occupational therapy + current AHPRA registration
• Strong knowledge of clinical assessments and interventions for older adults, including fall prevention, cognitive rehabilitation, and activities of living training.
• Proficient in using telehealth platforms and technology for remote therapy sessions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their caregivers remotely.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of clients effectively.
• Commitment to providing person-centred care and promoting clients' overall well-being.
• A home office.
