The role
AccessCare is seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to join its Community Support team. This is a brand-new role and will suit an OT who is eager to contribute to the development of AccessCare’s growing Occupational Therapy program.
Working in a dynamic team environment, this role entails:
- Working with people who are older, have a disability and or other complex needs, and supporting them to participate in everyday activities.
- Undertaking comprehensive in-home safety assessments in partnership with AccessCare’s home modification team and providing advice on how best to maximise clients’ independence and wellbeing.
- Building relationships with clients, their families and other services, as well as the wider AccessCare team, to ensure service delivery of the highest quality.
- Taking a person-centric approach to work to ensure flexible and responsive service delivery.
- Following processes and procedures to ensure a consistent customer experience and ensure the Building Code and Aged Care guidelines are followed.
- Supporting the Team Leader to develop the Occupational Therapy program and continuously update quality documentation.

About you
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with APHRA.
- Community experience with high level assessment skills.
- Preferably someone with recent or ongoing clinical experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage clients.
- Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software and management of electronic client records.
