The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. The role is based in Werribee and will see you providing your expertise and services throughout the Western suburbs of Melbourne and the community. We do provide services to clients funded by NDIS, Medicare or private paying. 

You will need:

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent Occupational Therapy Degree
• AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Victorian Driver's license is required in this role.

Job Description

• Carrying out in-person assessments of patients’ abilities and challenges
• Developing strategies and treatment plans to support patients in overcoming their challenges
• Assessing the patient’s environment, such as work or home, to suggest modifications as needed
• Teaching patients exercises and strategies to apply in their daily lives
• Providing advice on technical equipment that may support the patient
• Liaising with other treating professionals to discuss patient progress
 

Desirable

• Experience working within an NDIS framework.
• Familiarity, knowledge and understanding of prescribing a range of assistive technology.
