The Company: Breakthrough Occupational Therapy is a mobile service that provides intervention to a range of individuals with a variety of disabilities and diseases including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Multiple Sclerosis, Genetic disabilities, Vision impairment, Acquired Brain Injury and Down Syndrome.
Work is predominately with paediatric clients and their families, through play-based therapy. We deliver assessments and short-term intervention for adults. There are opportunities to expand further into adult clientele.

The Position: Currently seeking an Occupational therapist, who is energetic, independent, and motivated. Someone who is caring and passionate, with good problem-solving skills. The caseload and hours are flexible, we welcome the opportunity to mould the position around the successful candidate. This position will be based at our Bega office and include travel around the beautiful Sapphire Coast in NSW. Regular supervision and Continued Professional Development will be provided. New graduates would learn fast in a supported environment and are welcome to apply.
The Bega Valley is situated on the far south coast of NSW. It is a beautiful regional area with an abundance of coast and bush to explore. The area is perfect for those looking to make a sea or tree change and for growing families. Assistance relocating and navigating the area is available.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Current APRAH registration.
- NSW driver’s license
- Working with children’s check
- NSW Police check
Responsibilities:
- Individual therapy sessions
- Administration of standardized and observational assessments
- Report and note writing
- School and home visits to assess, observe and provide intervention in the client’s natural environment.
- Liaise with health professionals, teachers and parents or carers
- Manage own caseload
