  • Conducting thorough patient assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of their individual needs.
  • Developing and implementing customised therapeutic programs for both group and individual requirements, addressing residents' specific physical, mental, and social needs.
  • Delivering high-quality, safe, and effective care support to enhance the health, well-being, and safety of residents.

  • Maintaining accurate records, statistics, and daily progress notes that precisely reflect activities and observations.
  • Regularly assessing and reporting on the physical and psychosocial capabilities of residents when necessary.
  • Preparing all necessary materials and workspace requirements for therapy sessions while adhering to budget constraints, managing stock levels, and maintaining financial records in an orderly manner.
  • Continuously evaluating your own learning needs and taking proactive steps to enhance and sustain your knowledge and skills in alignment with care standards and desired outcomes.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive Salary of $108 - $110,000K + Superannuation annually.
  • An inclusive management approach that values understanding and flexibility.
  • A welcoming, family-like environment that fosters deep connections with residents and your team.
  • Management that is open to feedback, receptive to change, and committed to staff input.
  • An enthusiastic and cooperative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering top-notch care.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Maintain current, unrestricted registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
  • Possess a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one within six months of validity.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise in specialist assessment and the delivery of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
  • Exhibit a strong enthusiasm for allied health, particularly within the Aged and Dementia care context.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess clients' strengths and abilities and effectively align them with activity and role development.
  • Showcase proficiency in communication, both through information technology and in written and verbal forms, along with excellent interpersonal skills for effective engagement with a diverse range of individuals.
