We are looking for highly experienced Occupational Therapists who are looking to make a difference in the lives of people in the Latrobe Valley. Someone who is looking to advance their career in a senior clinical role working in a transdisciplinary paediatric service, driving the quality of service provision.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist in the paediatric and youth hub, you will work in one or more of the programs we deliver including Children's Service, School Readiness and Speech Pathology in Schools. You will work with children their families and educators to improve their motor, sensory processing and social and emotional wellbeing skills. You will be integral in developing Grade 1 and Grade 2 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and students in the clinical environment. The Occupational Therapist works as part of the multidisciplinary team with Speech Pathologists, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners, Allied Health Assistants and Nurses to provide evidence based collaborative interventions to children.
To be successful, you will require;
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- AHPRA Registration.
- Experience as a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum seven years post graduate experience.
- Experience in paediatric occupational therapy.
- Experience working in a community health setting.
- Valid Victorian drivers licence.
- Eligible to be a Medicare Benefit Scheme provider.
- Latrobe Community Health Service complies with infectious disease control and immunisation requirements under legislation. This position is classified, as a Health Care Worker B. Evidence of immunisation history must be provided prior to confirmed appointment.
