We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic leader to fulfil a Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist role in our dynamic Allied Health team in the sub-acute stream at Casey Hospital. A Day in the Life
The sub-acute unit is a 60 bed unit with rehabilitation and geriatric Evaluation & Management units. This position provides leadership to the Occupational Therapists in the sub-acute stream, directly supervising Grade 2’s, as well as working collaboratively with other OT’s and Allied Health, providing cross-disciplinary leadership in team meetings and in day-to-day clinical decision-making. There are two Senior Clinicians in the sub-acute occupational therapy team, as well as two Seniors in the on-site acute team, providing a strong leadership team and mentoring opportunities.
There are opportunities to collaborate in numerous network-wide working parties and quality projects. The Occupational Therapy department works in close contact with our colleagues in the other Monash Health bed-based services, and Community Services.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in neuro-rehab and or GEM caseload, including NDIS and complex discharges.
- Sound clinical reasoning, and show initiative and the ability to work autonomously
- Experience in providing a high quality clinical service to patients in tertiary sub-acute setting
- Passion for enhancing patient experiences and facilitation of recovery-centred care
- Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision and promoting the growth and development of staff
- An aptitude for on-going learning and personal professional development
- Clear, compassionate and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry, research and service improvement.

What you Need:
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or relevant equivalent degree
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Appropriate Australian Working rights
