Job description

About Us

DLS Allied Health is a Victorian-based Allied Health provider. We provide services to 500+ people across regional Victoria and are continuing to grow.

We provide services to individuals to enable them to achieve their goals at home, in the community, at school, and at work. We take a holistic approach to providing capacity-building services, including working with other businesses/organisations, community groups, specialists, carers, educators, family, and friends.

Our OT team works with people of all ages and backgrounds, including NDIS participants, NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) participants, and privately funded clients.

Who are we looking for (Key Selection Criteria)?

We are looking for two experienced OT's to join our team in 2024. The role is based in Bendigo with a hybrid work environment (WFH or from our office, with appointments in the community and clinic). The right person will:

  • Want to work with people from all backgrounds, with different goals and ambitions.
  • Either have a set scope of practice (e.g., paediatrics, mental health, etc) or prefer a more diverse caseload.
  • Be passionate about making a difference.
  • Love working in the community, delivering services to people in their homes, schools, workplaces, etc.

This role is also open to graduates, please see the ‘What Are We Offering’ section.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities are split between:

  • Planning, delivering, and documenting therapy sessions.
  • Conducting assessments and writing reports, including Sensory Profiles, Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology, Home Modifications, and more.
  • Attending care team meetings, creating resources, and other activities to support the people you provide services to.

You will also make time for continued professional development (CPD) outside of day-to-day responsibilities. We provide our staff with 10 days of study leave and a budget of $2,500 each year to undertake professional development or learning experiences leave (based on a full-time position).

What Are We Offering?

We are offering a position with a salary range of $90,000-$125,000 + Super + Leave Loading (full-time equivalent).

This role is also open to graduates, with a salary of $85,000 + Super + Leave Loading (full-time equivalent) with a longer induction period and more frequent structured support (through our graduate program).

You will also receive:

  • Tools of the trade – a computer, phone, iPad, access to therapy resources, assessments, report writing templates, and more.
  • Access to fleet vehicles where available and reimbursement for personal travel at $0.96 per km otherwise.
  • CPD budget of $2500.
  • Flexible work schedules including 8 or 9-day fortnights and other flexible options.
  • A hybrid work environment (WFH with appointments in the community and via telehealth, or work from our office).
  • 5 weeks annual leave (1 more than the award).
  • 2 weeks study/CPD leave.
  • 2 weeks personal leave.

The offer can be made pro-rata for part-time staff.

Key Selection Criteria

Required

  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
