What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity awaits for an Occupational Therapist Level 1 / 2 to join our diverse team based at Blue Mountains Hospital and also servicing Springwood Hospital on a Permanent Part time basis.
Your role will be primarily see inpatients, servicing patients in acute medical and rehabilitation wards. The Occupational Therapy role at both hospitals requires a clinician who can problem solve and think laterally about complex patient situations, whilst working closely with families/carers and the multidisciplinary team to plan safe and timely discharges. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection Criteria to be addressed: * Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, AHPRA
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills and an ability to quickly develop and maintain constructive relationships with consumers, colleagues and external agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team and manage a clinical caseload and clinical matters with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in occupational therapy practice, particularly the provision of assessment and intervention services/skill sets required for an acute, hospital based service.
- High level of organisational and time management skills and an ability to identify and make clinically sound decisions around priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to continual service improvement and personal/professional development and an ability to reflect on and respond to constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a range of documentation and report writing styles and the ability to adapt styles according the reader.
