About the Opportunity
We are excited to be recruiting to a new position within our service that will work across both Hammondcare and South Western Sydney Local Health District.
The position suits an Occupational Therapist looking to take on part time hours and looking to progress in their career and make a difference to the lives of those living with dementia.
We are looking for someone that is dedicated and resourceful. You will have the opportunity to work across 2 sites and:
- Work directly with, and participate in meetings with consumers, carers and their families
- Liaise with Geriatricians/Psych Geriatricians, as well as a multi-disciplinary team
- Take an active part in regular Clinical Advisory and Review meetings
- Partake in data collection for commonwealth and state departments
- Participate in quality initiatives and research

What You'll be Doing
The senior Occupational Therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person-centered care.
How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within Specialist Dementia Care
- Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and/or development of treatment protocols
- Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
