About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Occupational Therapist to join a multi disciplinary team within the rehab team at a private hospital in Canberra.
Working in the Rehabilitation unit, you will see a varied caseload of orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, and general deconditioning cases. You will be required to undertake comprehensive assessments and therapy within the inpatient setting, while also facilitating discharge planning, including home visits and collaboration with community agencies.
This is a full-time position, part time will also be considered.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current and full AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated competence skills within the rehabilitation setting, including assessment, treatment and education to patients
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work autonomously to provide effective patient centered care
- Knowledge of discharge planning pathways
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
- Current valid National Police Check
