About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist who is committed and enthusiastic in ensuring the quality of life of our clients. You will be passionate about keeping older people physically active and engaged in life whilst maintaining their mobility and independence.
The position is a community based part-time or Full-Time role and offers flexible hours for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a passion for aged care.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure there are plans/recommendations for clients to enable independence through assessment, documentation needs and reviewing and updating as required.
- Provide high quality occupational therapy to ensure clients/residents are treated achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Contribute to the effective functioning of the team by sharing specialist knowledge and informing team members about changes to clients and progress
- Assists with the management of clients with specific urgent needs by understanding their needs, deciding on the best way to support the client, and spending the time required to implement these strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Essential criteria:
- Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Current AHPRA Registration
- Community aged care experience, highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Assessment and documentation skills
- Team oriented and caring approach
