Occupational Therapy Team Leader at NeuroRehab

predominately NDIS
participants with some TAC and My Aged Care-funded clients.The position is available full-time and primarily from our Deer Park clinic and will involve home visits in surrounding areas. The successful applicant will be required to have a presence in the clinic for a minimum of two days per week. Applicants with at least 4-day part-time availability or looking for family-friendly work hours are also open to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of Occupational therapy in adult neurological services with a person-centred approach.
- Contribution to screening of new referrals, delegation of referrals to staff, and clinical risk management planning
- Opportunities to participate in projects and innovative service development for the Department and wider MDT.
- Hands-on with the recruitment process for new team members. If you have an eye for people and OT skills, building the team is a rewarding experience!
- Working with our OT Education team to develop and deliver learning programs.
- Development of future student programs.
- Supervision of less experienced OTs.
- Prescription and funding requests of AT as required.
- Collaborate with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

- A flexible work environment with a blend of working from clinic, home and community and options of 4-day compressed work weeks, or 9-day fortnights.
- twice weekly huddles with OT Clinical Manager and other OT Team Leads
- minimum once monthly supportive 1:1 supervision with OT Clinical Manager
- once monthly OT Leadership Group planning meetings
- Collaborate and support from other clinicians to provide innovative and holistic care within our multidisciplinary team.
- Base salary of $105k - $120k+ depending on experience.
- Team member package inclusive of super, optional company car/fuel card (travel allowance and higher base salary for those using their own vehicle), PD, laptop, phone, and commission-based incentives to reward your efforts!
- Regularly funded social events with the Occupational Therapy team and the entire NRAHN organisation.
Requirements
- AHPRA registration.
- 5+ years' experience as an Occupational Therapist (7+ years ideal)
- Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screen.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination.
- Influenza vaccination.
Desirable
- Experience working within an NDIS framework.
- Familiarity, knowledge and understanding of prescribing a range of assistive technology.
