An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our rehabilitation Occupational Therapy team, which will include work within the areas of inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient day program rehabilitation.

About the Role
Working at either a Level 1/2 or Level 3 Senior clinician alongside a team of Allied Health staff, you will provide effective and efficient professional service to inpatients and outpatients (Day Program) on the Rehabilitation Ward.

In the role, you will be responsible for providing services to an allocated caseload of clients in liaison with Medical, Nursing, Allied Health and other health care providers predominantly on the 29-bed Rehabilitation Ward at Warners Bay Private Hospital.
There is also opportunity to work on the Surgical and Palliative care wards as required.
- Provide high quality specialised rehabilitation Occupational Therapy services using extensive knowledge and a specialist level of skills, to a diverse and complex caseload consisting predominantly of neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, oncology, cardiac and general reconditioning patients.
- Participate in developing appropriate discharge plans with the multidisciplinary team.
- Responsible for the assessment, support diagnosis, and treatment of patients in line with current evidence-based practice.
- To flexibly manage responsibilities for own clinical caseload, service delivery, and supervision of junior staff if working as a Level 3 senior clinician.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $35.09 - $54.68 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
Your Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent with APHRA registration.
- Demonstrate evidence based clinical reasoning skills to guide treatment plans within a designated caseload.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice.
- Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
Desirables
- Membership with OT Australia.
- Rehabilitation experience
- Previous experience in a private hospital rehabilitation setting and understanding of FIM.
