About the Role:

As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you'll join a dynamic team of passionate professionals, including Occupational Therapists and therapy assistants. We believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that allows you the autonomy to shape your role based on your interests and expertise.

Our fully equipped therapy rooms boast up-to-date resources, supporting your innovative approach to therapy. We offer home-based programs tailored to the individual needs of the client and their family. Services are also extended to childcare centres and schools, ensuring that therapy is delivered in environments that are relevant to the needs of each child.

At Apricus Health, we recognize the diverse spectrum of needs in the children we support, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Social and Emotional Difficulties, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delays, and Learning Difficulties. Your role here is not confined to a rigid structure – we encourage you to tailor your therapeutic approaches based on each client's individual interests and needs.

Collaborating closely with our Senior Paediatric Team Leader, you'll experience a supportive journey into your role at Apricus Health. As you settle in, we tailor a gradual introduction to your responsibilities and expectations, meeting your individual pace and style. You’ll find a nurturing environment with one-on-one meetings, team case conferences, educational opportunities, and ongoing support to ensure your seamless integration and professional growth within Apricus Health.

Duties:
  • Support and empower clients to experience progress, recovery, joy, and comfort.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and provide treatment in various settings, including clinics, schools, communities, and homes.
  • Collaborate with the Apricus Health team to deliver holistic care to clients.
  •  Ensure all clients receive an excellent experience throughout their journey.
  • Share specialised knowledge through education, in-services and workshops.
  • Actively contribute to service delivery, guiding clinic planning and programs to maintain a paediatric service to be proud of.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (or international equivalent).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • First Aid, CPR training, and NDIS Workers Screening, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Full driver's license.
  • The right to live and work in Australia long-term or the willingness and ability to apply with no known barriers to emigration.
  • Able to commit to a minimum 12-month contract.
