Achieving Personal Success (APSuccess) is a NDIS registered psychology and behaviour clinic specialising in supporting persons to overcome their barriers and with their psychological needs. APSuccess specialises in supporting children and adolescents (ages from 2 to 25+) to work on their psychotherapy, behaviour, development potential and their ongoing concerns. Due to the expansion of our organisation, we are looking for a new Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Role Overview:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting independence, functional capacity, and overall well-being for diverse clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive functional assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, emotional and environmental factors to identify strengths, limitations and individualised goals
Utilising standardised assessments, clinical observations, interviews and client history to inform assessment outcomes
Developing individualised treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions to improve clients' functional abilities and skills.
Collaborating with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance participation in daily activities and achieve meaningful goals.
Educating clients, caregivers, and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and techniques to facilitate independent living.
Maintaining accurate and detailed records, preparing reports, and communicating effectively with healthcare teams and funding agencies.
Requirements
Essential Criteria:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution.
Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA) and compliance with AHPRA standards.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and human development.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards within the Australian healthcare system.
Strong communication skills and the ability to empathise with clients' needs.
Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practices and developments in the field.
Previous experience working with diverse populations and age groups is a plus.
Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is preferred
Valid Drivers Licence and access to a registered vehicle
