About the Role
This position will enable CGH to deliver Occupational Therapy services within the CGH network, that are based on an efficient, goal orientated and person-centred care coordination system. The position is responsible for the leadership of the Occupational Therapy team, enabling staff within the team to deliver clinically relevant and informed rehabilitation,assessment, management, advocacy and monitoring to clients within the CGH network, including community and paediatric services, aged care and external agencies as contracted.
Duties
- Developing and leading a team of occupational therapist professionals who are capable of delivering a client centred service within a culture of excellence, ethical conduct, and inter-disciplinary collaboration
- Developing a business plan for the service designed to support CGH service delivery capability and agreed priorities in the CGH Health Plan. The outcome will be to achieve effective and optimal use of resources, while supporting the CGHS strategic direction and organisational objectives
- Supporting CGH to develop innovative strategies in the utilisation of the Allied Health Assistant (AHA) workforce, increasing their capability to deliver an enhanced Allied Health service
- Actively participating in the coordination, planning and evaluation of quality projects within the service to support accreditation against various bodies for which CGH are accountable to
About You
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Qualifications and/or experience in business/health management, or working towards same
- Proven and significant clinical experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working as a manger in a health and/or community services setting
