Bechtel Mining and Metals is seeking an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with proven capabilities to join the Perth office.

About the Role:
As the OEM Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, you will independently perform and review electrical and instrumentation design and implementation by a bulk materials handling OEM for the project.
You will have technical responsibility to verify electrical design and deliverable compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications, ensuring incorporation of operability, constructability, and maintainability requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- maintain oversight on the safety in design and functional safety design processes implemented by the OEM.
- direct personnel on special studies or special segments of a project.
- participate in the formulation and development of advanced engineering concepts associated with proposal development design or construction.
- develop and interpret Electrical design criteria and specifications for bulk materials handling machines.
- serve as consultant to engineering management, providing advice and counsel on special engineering assignments.
- prepare, approve or recommend approval of electrical and instrumentation procedures for engineering.
- other duties as required.
What You Bring:
- degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, from an accredited college or university, OR sufficient number of specialized courses in relevant general scientific or engineering disciplines to meet job requirements.
- practical progressive work experience in engineering or scientific disciplines or relevant equivalent experience in related engineering or scientific disciplines.
- technical knowledge of engineering systems and calculations, application of engineering methods and materials, and application of computers.
- broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and of principles and practices of related technical areas.
- good knowledge of 2-D and 3-D computer aided design tools.
