About the Role
Acting as a Project Manager, assuming overall responsibility for the delivery of the technical scope of a project in line with the agreed baseline (e.g. deliverables, resource plan, manhours, schedule, client specifications) with multiple discipline lead engineers reporting into this role within a project. This position is the key interface between the lead engineers, the clients’ technical representatives, project management, planning and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of projects, ensuring they meet agreed-upon standards and schedules.
- Manage a team of lead engineers from different disciplines within the project.
- Act as the main point of contact between lead engineers, clients, project management, and procurement teams.
- Use technical expertise to oversee project components, handle changes, review technical documents, and resolve technical issues.
- Assist with both technical and some commercial aspects of projects, working with stakeholders to find solutions.
- Foster teamwork and communication within the project team to achieve goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Senior Project Engineering/ Project Engineering Manager position, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong technical skills across relevant areas.
- Leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Experience in managing both technical and commercial aspects of projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Problem-solving skills for analyzing and resolving technical issues.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
- Possessing knowledge of hydraulic systems would be advantageous.
- Have experience in designing upgrades and refurbishments for OEM equipment, with a preference for familiarity with balance machines.
