Cultural Capital is a creative consultancy. We bring meaning to place with art and cultural projects.
Our team of 12 produces public art and cultural placemaking projects for government agencies and developers. We bring expertise in curation, community engagement, engineering, project management and creating award-winning artworks.
Cultural Capital is often engaged from project inception through to installation; from producing cultural visions and public art plans, selecting and engaging artists, overseeing fabrication and testing, through to final artwork delivery.
Employment Details
- Permanent part-time role (approx. 3-4 days equivalent per week)
- Based in our Ultimo office
- Flexible working hours/days (Mon/Tues/Wed preferred in office, additional days negotiable, shorter working days negotiable)
- Initial probation period of three months.
The Role
As a vital part of the Cultural Capital team the Office Manager will bring organisational skills, attention to detail and enthusiasm to the day-to-day operations of the studio. You will work to support our team of curators and project managers and optimise their efficiency as they work on a broad range of projects.
This is not an entry-level role. Ideally, you will have 3+ years of equivalent experience in a related industry, like a busy and productive production company, architecture firm or design team.
You will support the Managing Director and wider team by establishing and maintaining the smooth operation of the business so that the team can focus on the demands of project delivery. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the studio:
- Administration: Support team by assisting with administration, timesheet entries, minute-taking and document creation. Keep filing systems up to date
- Financial Support: Organise company bank accounts and cards, supplier and bill payments, issue project invoices, liaise with bookkeeper and accountant
- Business Development: Assist with admin for proposals, respond to incoming business enquiries, organise client and artist databases, capture and organise content for social media/website
- Team support: Assist with professional development opportunities and team functions. Identify and introduce platforms, tools and systems. Onboard contractors, make travel arrangements for team and project consultants
- General office co-ordination: Schedule and run team meetings, assist with light IT support, order office supplies and equipment, oversee chore roster for shared office, run ad-hoc errands, on and off-board staff, receive and welcome office guests

- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Adobe (Indesign)
- Dropbox
- Xero
- Hubdoc
- Employment Hero
- Trello or similar software platform
- Project and time management platforms (we use Total Synergy)
Training in required software can be provided when needed.
