Enthusiasm and commitment to all aspects of medical care readiness is critical. You will work as part of a dynamic team, bringing an empathetic and adaptable approach to the immediate and long-term health and safety of others, whilst driving and demonstrating the types of behaviour that set positive examples within BHP and surrounding communities.This is a permanent position, working a family friendly 5:4 day and night shift roster. This is a residential position and the mine is located a convenient 10 minute drive from Muswellbrook. Flexible work options will be considered.You will be required to:
- Responding to mine site emergencies.
- Maintain operational emergency response equipment;
- Maintain site security access systems, and complete daily front of house duties including drug and alcohol testing.
- Assist the site HSE team to execute a variety of health and safety related projects
- Provide the highest possible standard of pre-hospital emergency care, adhering to treatment procedures, accurately completing documentation, and applying the correct operational procedure in response to the situation presented to them.
- Plan and deliver training sessions, knowledge sharing and scenario-based activities for ERT members other staff.
- Commit to ongoing development of skills and qualifications to maintain competencies and clinical scope of practice.
- Previous emergency response experience in mining, defence or Emergency Services
- Minimum of C class driver's license
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and flexible in role requirements and undertakings
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue or equivalent
- Certificate IV in Health Care or equivalent / higher
- HR Drivers License
- Previous exposure to drug and alcohol testing, and site access systems
