An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of the O&G Hospital Medical Officer in a part time capacity. As a supervised position, incumbents are offered exposure to a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological presentations across inpatient and outpatient settings, in a busy rural environment. The department manages around 1000 births per year. This position provides an ideal opportunity for a junior doctor contemplating a career in rural practice.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- MBBS or equivalent degree with registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Board of
Australia (AHPRA). - Australian Healthcare Experience, having worked in either a Hospital or similar environment.
- Experience working as an O&G Resident.
- Demonstrated appropriate level experience and skills in the medical assessment and clinical
management of patients.
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
