An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational, Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team at Lake Mountain on a Full-Time/Hybrid basis. While your workdays will be busy developing, implementing and monitoring health and safety policies and systems to ensure we are providing a safe working environment for our awesome employees and customers, during your downtime, you have the opportunity to enjoy some of the resort activities, such as mountain biking, wildflower walks and snowboarding!
The key responsibilities are:
- Promote safety, coordinate site safety assessments and facilitate any recommended improvements.
- Manage the resort-based OHS consultative committee to ensure representative staff participation, a schedule of meetings, associated reporting and circulation of meeting outcomes.
- Act as the WorkSafe contact on resort.
- Oversee the development and currency of procedures, manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs,) for resort work activities/areas.
- Regularly audit working practices / activities undertaken on resort, advising on safety matters and reporting risks/issues, and
- Coordinate with the People and Culture team for return-to-work programs and the provision of personal protective Equipment (PPE).
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
- Degree qualified/Certificate IV in OHS or related field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
- Completion of Health and Safety Representative (HSR) initial course (or willingness to complete the course).
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferable).
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Experience with public sector will score you ‘brownie points’.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- A whizz when it comes to using Microsoft 365 & Office software.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines whilst effortlessly multi-tasking.
