About the Role
We are seeking an OHS&E Advisor to join the OHS&E Team reporting to the Safety, Health, Environment & Risk Manager. In this role you will provide advice on the OHS&E strategy and ensure systems and procedures are in place and maintained to provide a safe place of work for all CCL Secure employees.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure a safe and compliant operation of the organisation
- Ensuring compliance training and assessment requirements are identified and managed in accordance with statutory requirements
- Ensuring all hazardous activities are identified, analysed, reported and control measures implemented
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in the OHS&E functions of the business
- Ensuring compliance with our EPA licence, Water Trade Waste agreement and general environmental duty
- Contributing to improvements in environmental and sustainability initiatives to help the business achieve carbon neutrality
- Ensuring incidents are reported to relevant stakeholders, investigated and follow-up actions are identified and implemented
- Ensuring CCL drives a culture of safety in line with ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018
- Supporting the provision of training for safe ways of working and best practices for the handling of hazardous materials
- Effective management of return to work programs
- Collate monthly, quarterly and yearly OHS&E data
Skills & Experience
The applicant should have:
- A formal certification in Safety and Environment
- Minimum of 4+ years in safety positions
- Experience in Workcover/RTW/EPA reporting
- Experience working with hazardous materials
