AddressGovernment agency looking for a Senior Supervisor to assist with capital works projects.
Your new company
Our client is a business unit within the Queensland Government who work across a range of new build, maintenance, and capital works projects. Due to a peak in workload and a healthy project pipeline, they are looking to add a Senior Supervisor to their Department to assist with their various sensitive minor building projects.
Your new role
You will be responsible for leading and supervising a small team of foreperson/s to deliver a high volume of reactive maintenance and minor works projects. This will include the planning and delivery of projects through producing tender and quotation documentation and overseeing the delivery of the work. You will also be reviewing contractor quotations regarding maintenance responses and service maintenance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of the of delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work. You will therefore ideally come from a trade background where you will have delivered such work, while also having experience in supervising and leading teams. As part of your role will include tender and documentation you will need a good understanding of Microsoft products in order to prepare documents and reports. A solid understanding of Safety Management, with focus on Health and Safety Work Environment will also be required. A blue card will also be required for this role. A Builders Supervisor licence is essential, while licences in electrical, plumbing and high risks will also be favourable.

You will be offered an immediate start with an initial 3-month casual contract with the potential for extension, located in Wacol. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an OO7/1 hourly rate + super.
