Kenthurst Before and After School Care Educator / Responsible Person - Permanent Part Time
Kenthurst Before and After School Care has been servicing The Hills area since 1993 in Before School, After School and Vacation Care for Primary School aged children (K -Yr 6). We are located in Kenthurst Public School.

Due to our program’s growth, an exciting opportunity is currently available for the right candidate, we are seeking a passionate Educator to join our team.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic OSHC educator to join our KBASC team who can work a variety of hours Monday to Fridays during school terms and vacation care in school holidays. This is a position to support the Centre Manager and become a Responsible Person.
Hours of operation:
Before School Care: 7.00am-9.00am
After school care: 3.00pm-6:30pm
Vacation care: 7.00am-6.00pm
As an OSHC Educator at KBASC, your role will include
- Assisting in the delivery of a high quality, educational, safe and fun program
- Provide programs which align with the framework ‘My Time Our Place’
- Communication and engagement with children, families and other team members in a positive, productive and respectful manner
- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
- Support the development of children
- Ability to support administration
- Supervision of children
- Light cleaning duties
- Preparation of breakfast and afternoon tea
- Attendance at staff meetings
Essential Requirements
- Willing and able to work, sometimes with little notice
- Willingness to learn
- Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- First Aid certificate (including CPR, anaphylaxis & asthma management and emergency first aid response in an education and care setting) or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Ability to work effectively as a team
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, parents and staff
Job Type: Permanent Part-Time (18-20 hrs a week)
