We are currently seeking OOSH Educators and Assistants to join the teams at our successful and well-established services at Maitland / Chisholmand surrounding areas.
These opportunities will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.
As an OOSH Educator / Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising children’s play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour
- Assisting the developing and implementing programs that offer a diverse range of experiences to promote children’s independence, social skills, learning, and development.
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- A fun, professional, positive, and reliable demeanour
- The ability to collaborate as an active member of the St Nicholas OOSH team
- Be able to communicate effectively with children, families, and your team
a demonstrated understanding of:
- The National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and the Laws and Regulations governing our industry
- Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting
- Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working with Children Check verification number
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or Certificate IV in Out of Hours School Care (Desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (Desirable)
- Child protection qualification (Desirable)
