POSITION DESCRIPTION

As the OOSH Nominated Supervisor, you are expected to oversee the operations of the service, lead, guide and support a team which provides high quality education and care to school aged children.

We are currently seeking a passionate and energetic OOSH Nominated Supervisor to join our successful and well-established service at Taree, NSW.

Maintaining a work life balance, this position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, with the option of working split or block shifts (35 hours per week), across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs for children aged 5 – 12 years old.

Hours for vacation care programs operate between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday (approx. 8 hours per day). It would be an expectation to be available for most of these shifts.


EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training
  • Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of services requirements of the CCS (childcare subsidy system) and ability to perform software application for compliance
  • Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support the My Time Our Place Framework for School Aged Children with the centre curriculum
  • Previous experience in successfully managing a budget for an Early Education or OOSH Centre

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Children’s Services or Certificate III in Children’s Services (minimum of 3 years’ experience) as identified by Australian Children’s Education and care Authority
  • Working with Children Check verification number
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
  • Child protection qualification
