About the role
The Patient Flow Manager (PFM) represents the Mental HealthAlcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) leadership team and is responsible for operational management of the facility including patient flow, bed management and staffing. The PFM is part of the management team supporting clinical staff in the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated clinical care; ensuring clinical care for the patient within the service is safe, well managed and of the highest quality and linking effectively to the leadership team to ensure care provided is continuous. Responsible for a broad range of MHAOD matters as well as ensuring appropriate emergency response.
Clinician engagement and leadership has been a prominent feature of the public health system for a number of years, where clinician led clinical standards, safety and quality improvements have become a major focus. The Local Health District (LHD) is committed to the strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement and evaluation of health services.
In this position you will be required to travel across the Northern NSW Local Health District.
