The Role
The purpose of this role is to maintain and improve Operational Technology (OT) field assets including control systems and telemetry. You will ensure reliable network operations through proactive and reactive maintenance of assets, ensure optimal asset management, and support the design and commissioning of new infrastructure.

What will I be doing?

  • Provide technical expertise in Operational Technologies (OT), focusing on control systems and telemetry crucial for Water, Sewer, and Treatment Plant operations, ensuring uninterrupted functionality and timely fault resolution.
  • First-point response to maintain the reliable operation of OT assets in the field through proactive fault diagnostics and rectification, and planned asset management, including participation in 24/7 rotating duty rosters for emergency maintenance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for recurring issues to enhance system reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Manage OT communications networks, encompassing digital radio and broadband cellular technologies, to ensure seamless connectivity and data transmission.
  • Translate business requirements into functional design specifications and oversee the implementation of PLC requirements, control system wiring, PLC programs, and SCADA configuration, ensuring alignment with company standards and project objectives.
  • Evaluate the performance of SCADA and control systems, identify areas for enhancement, lead the commissioning of new systems and infrastructure, and contribute to the development of standards for maintainability and operability, including participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate to learn and open to new challenges and technologies, as well as a collaborative mindset. If you have the following capabilities, get in touch:

  • Seasoned professional with extensive expertise in industrial control systems and programming, including PLCs and RTUs, coupled with a strong understanding of electrical control wiring and installation review.
  • Proficient in managing and maintaining documentation systems, and sound experience in configuration and programming of PLCs, RTUs, radios, and modems.
  • Well-versed in SCADA and Maximo systems, with desirable experience in managing code repository and version control, configuring SCADAPack and Brodersen RTUs, and programming GE PLCs and low-power RTU devices.
  • Knowledgeable in SCADA systems such as Aveva EcoStruxures GeoSCADA Expert and Operational Historian platforms like Aveva OSI PI Historian, with experience in maintaining cybersecurity standards in an OT environment and developing programming standards.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills in engaging with various stakeholders, including senior management, customers, consultants, contractors, regulators, and committees, alongside a solid understanding of OHS law, obligations, and regulations.
  • A current open driver's license is required.
