With a commitment to excellence, innovation, engagement, and impact, the Division is tasked with realising the research goals outlined in the University Strategic Plan.Within this framework, the Innovation and Commercialisation Services Branch (ICS) offers consolidated and commercially-oriented assistance for all activities generating research revenue. Comprising three teams-Business Development, Commercialisation, and Research Services-ICS provides a comprehensive range of services to support various income streams associated with research endeavours, while also contributing to the University's overarching research revenue strategy.ICS facilitates the University's interactions and commercial dealings with external partners in areas such as competitive research grants, contract R&D, consultancy agreements, collaborative research ventures, Intellectual Property management, technology licensing, and the establishment of spin-out companies.The Operations and Communications Manager plays a vital role in supporting ICS across three key areas: communications, operations, and project management. This role entails overseeing communication strategies and operational functions to advance the objectives of ICS effectively..To be successful you will need: * Extensive experience in the development and delivery of marketing and Communications strategies.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, managing and executing multiple outputs and deliverables, with an ability to set priorities and use initiative.
- Proven experience in change management.
- Proven experience in the provision of high-level executive support in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in the use of computers and computer software, including standard MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
- Experience working in the technology transfer industry.
- Relevant graduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
