Alliance Airlines is seeking a Duty Manager to join our Network Operations team in Brisbane.  If you're passionate about aviation and ready to take on a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

What we are looking for

The OCC Duty manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight and management of the Operation Control Centre Team. As the OCC Duty manager you will be responsible for managing the network schedule and identifying probable disruption events and formulating proactive plans ready to implement as required. 

The OCC Duty Manger shall provide leadership and guidance to the team ensure the operations maintains the highest levels of operational efficiency and professional communications to all stakeholders both within and external to Alliance. 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Delivery of the Airline Schedule by the OCC Team
  • Management of Published Flight crew and Cabin crew Rosters
  • Actively monitoring and optimising the airline schedule, to minimise airline disruption and maximise On Time Performance (OTP)
  • Leading the recovery from significant disrupt events, ensuring the optimal outcomes for clients and guests and safely delivering on expectations.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to Operations Control Centre team in the event of operational issues arising.
  • The OCC Duty Manager may be required to work 24 x 7 shift work.

What Makes you the Right Person

  • Educated to Degree level in Business, Aviation Management or Aviation related discipline (beneficial).
  • 5 years or more experience within Airline Network Operations (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance with a strong focus on teamwork and personnel management.
  • Experience with managing Operations Control and crew management systems and understanding of associated data flows.
  • Experience understanding/experience in Crew Resource Management, Rostering and the application of legislation and industrial agreements relating to crew.
  • Must be extremely capable with PC/Software packages including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel), Airline Operations, Crew Management and/or Aviation Reservation systems.
  • A clear, articulate communicator both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under intense time pressures, often with conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to think clearly during high levels of network disruption, without impairing decision quality or work output.
