City Presentation delivers a range of services that provide clean, well-presented Public Spaces in the Penrith Local Government Area. About the role
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill our vacant role of Operations Coordinator within the Public Spaces Maintenance section. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of integrated Public Space Maintenance (scheduled and reactive) strategies to improve the amenity and function of Public Spaces across the City.
This role will see you leading, managing and motivating a diverse team of staff (approx. 60) to achieve high levels of productivity, drive efficiency and process improvement; and effectively manage service delivery contracts.
Essential Criteria
- A tertiary qualification in Horticulture, Landscaping, Parks and Gardens, Frontline Management, Project Management or relevant field
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a Public Spaces Maintenance or Open Spaces delivery service including financial management, planning and delivery through to evaluation and monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out field audits to ensure compliance with Council standards and WHS requirements
- Demonstrated ability in leading, coaching and mentoring staff, providing feedback and development opportunities to drive a positive culture of continuous improvement and process efficiency
- Proficient communication, negotiation and mediation skills with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing, developing, and implementing service delivery models in a fast-paced operational environment.
- A current Class C Driver Licence
Desirable Criteria
- Previous Local Government experience
- Experience in Public Space Maintenance and Cleaning
- Understanding of emerging trends in technology applicable to the management of a large operational workforce
- Relevant experience & knowledge in procurement processes & systems with demonstrated experience in contractor management
Salary range: $121,369.00 - $140,489.00 per annum, plus 11% Superannuation
A Leaseback Vehicle is available with this position; however, it is not a condition of employment.
This position requires the worker to be double vaccinated against COVID-19 or to hold a medical contraindication certificate.
