Job Summary

A position is now available within our skilled timber processing team for a reliable, hands-on craftsman with an eye for quality.

As a key member of the timber process and assembly team you will…

• Process hardwood timber including sawing, drilling, sanding, and routing.
• Process aluminium and composite extrusions as required.
• Assemble timber finished furniture over a range of structures and designs.
• Assist in the packaging of finished goods.
• Continue to improve our LEAN processes and help the team to efficiently produce product on schedule.
• Maintain housekeeping standards, tools, and equipment.

This is a small, but fun and dynamic team that provides the final finishing touches to our respected ‘StraBe’ brand of products.

Skills and Experience

• You will be required to demonstrate a competent level of past experience working with timber machinery and hand tools associated with timber processing.
• Excellent attention to detail, quality and safety is essential.
• Reliability, honesty, and a sound work ethic with motivation to succeed is essential.
• Trade qualification as a Carpenter or Cabinetmaker is desirable, but not essential.
• Training in LEAN principles is an advantage.
• Leadership attributes.
• Drivers Licence is a must.
• Competency in English is a requirement.
• The ability to work in a team environment or independently.
• Take pride in your work.
