The Role
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership and responsibility for our Drill and Blast project delivery along with a focus on strong KPIs for people, safety, production and financial performance.
The Operations Manager will be based out of our Subiaco offices and be focused on our Western Australia operations, ensuring projects are managed in a manner that meets the client's expectations and SRG Global's high standards.
This package would include a vehicle allowance and suitable accommodation when travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proactive leadership and continually strive to improve our industry-leading safety performance by upholding the importance of Zero Harm for both personnel and equipment.
- Build & maintain strong relationships with client representatives and other stakeholders.
- Lead by example through open communication of key business drivers, whilst ensuring ongoing development of your direct reports.
- Ensuring identified risks are assessed, controlled, reported.
- Ensuring the projects achieve production/operational KPI's.
- Providing effective leadership to operational and maintenance crews by developing short & long-term resource plans and targets consistent with agreed KPI's.
- Facilitate and participate in all site critical communications including meetings, reports and client requests.
- Prepare monthly performance report, including financial, operational and QSET. Analyse and provide justification for any variances. Provide solutions to improve results/performance, reduce cost or add value.
- Create and maintain a positive work culture and cohesiveness within the project team in the effort to retain key site personnel and reduce turnover.
- Ensure project compliance with company & client policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Diploma Project Management or similar
- Diploma WHS or similar
- WA Quarry Managers Ticket would be viewed favourably
- Demonstrated management experience within the mining industry
- Demonstrated experience within a contracting environment
- Ability to manage client expectations, in conjunction with company values & strategy;
- Mature and professional approach to managing challenging matters
- Demonstrated experience in effective people management
