About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to provide operational management and oversight of all business, finance, property, and administration functions at Ringwood Corps.
This position involves effective communication and collaboration with all Staff, Corps leaders, members of the Corps, Volunteers, as well as direct line management of the Ministry Assistant Communications.
Responsibilities include
- Provide effective leadership and management to direct reports
- Regularly review and present reports to Corps Officers and other key leaders
- Manage the volunteer management coordination of the Corps on Workday and liaise with the appropriate Ministry Stream Leaders
- Oversee the Corps property function including WHS compliance, SolvSafety incident reporting and equipment audits
- Oversee Corps financial function
- Support, plan & organise logistics, operations and admin support for the successful running of fundraising events
- Assist Thrift Shop Manager with admin tasks if required
This is a permanent full time position, based in Ringwood, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award Level 5.
You will have
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in use of software application packages including word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and record management
- Certificate in Business Administration (desirable)
- At least 2 years' experience in administration
- Post-secondary qualifications highly regarded
- Previous church or not-for-profit management experience (highly regarded)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong people management skills: volunteer management experience (highly regarded)
- Actively supports and works within the mission, vision and values of Ringwood Corps and The Salvation Army
- A current VIC Driver's Licence
