We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team in Victoria.
Job Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for controlling the projects under their control to ensure that the project meets contractual requirements, remains commercially viable, is adequately resourced and that work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Develop and review the individual Contract’s planning and monitor progress of allocated work to ensure the project is on schedule and within quality and cost estimates
Liaise with the clients on all aspects of the contracts.
Review costs and recommend corrective actions if significant deviations from budget occur. Report regularly to senior management and the client on budget and schedule achievement.
Responsible for the overall management of the contract entailing planning, people management, safety, quality, cost control, administration and estimating.
Develop and review the contract’s planning and monitor progress of allocated Contracts to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and budget estimates
Liaise with the client and sub-contractors on all aspects of the contracts
Authorise the work’s planning, programming and on-site completion schedules and liaise with the Contract Administrator over completion dates for different phases of the contract
Liaise with the Project Manager and project specialists if there is a requirement to modify design in systems and methods necessitated by the progress of maintenance work Assist with the resolution of industrial relations problems and refer major industrial relations problems to the Employee Relations Manager
Oversee maintenance programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration and the activities of sub-contractors
Develop site/project strategy with internal stakeholders, ensuring business initiatives are designed in alignment with overall business plan Conduct trend analysis, highlight key bottlenecks and leverage points within the project operations
Qualifications/Experience
5+ years’ experience in maintenance management within a similar industry
Experience in a commercial environment and/or change management and/or leadership role in relevant Operations
Experience in the area of business development / building strong and collaborative client relationships
Strong leadership and seasoned people management skills
Relevant experience in an industrial services organization or mining/oil and gas sector
