The Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operations Manager to join our team and oversee our warehouse operations and sub-contractor management for South Australia.
As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support warehouse staff and sub-contractors in a time-sensitive and demanding environment, fostering a positive and high-performance work culture.
• Communication and Coordination: Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and sub-contractors to ensure seamless operations of the site, including customer sites.
• Quality Assurance and Safety: Implement and maintain quality assurance and safety control protocols for the site to ensure the well-being of all personnel and compliance with regulations.
• Operational Efficiency: Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget, optimizing processes to enhance overall efficiency.
• Sub-contractor Management: Track sub-contractor requirements, sourcing new sub-contractors when needed, and managing relationships with key vendors.
• Data Management: Oversee data collection for updating operations metrics, striving to achieve productivity targets, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met and operations run smoothly.
• Inventory Management: Oversee stock inventory and resource requirements to maintain adequate supplies for seamless operations.
• Onboarding and Training: Manage the onboarding and training process for all warehouse staff and sub-contractors, ensuring a well-skilled workforce.
• Performance Management: Address employee and sub-contractor performance issues promptly, providing necessary support and guidance.
• Customer Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents on site, ensuring swift resolution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Represent the company on regulatory issues, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and requirements.
• Strategic Input: Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, playing an essential role in shaping the company's growth.
• Site Audits: Conduct regular site audits to assess operations and identify areas for improvement.
You:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
• Highly trained in conflict management and problem-solving, capable of handling challenging situations with tact and composure.
• Working knowledge of software programs to aid in data management and analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, sub-contractors, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Practical knowledge of workforce planning to ensure the right staffing levels are maintained.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar managerial position, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Relevant licenses for the operation of various equipment, such as forklifts, to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
