The Opportunity
The Operations manager works from our support office located on Flinders Street in the Adelaide CBD. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Operations Manager is responsible for the execution of Foodland and Local Cellars programs and compliance amongst a group of experienced independent retailers.
The Operations Manager takes responsibility for support and guidance in the Foodland network, which includes fostering strong relationships with customers, store managers, suppliers and key stakeholders. The position also involves the design and implementation of exciting initiatives involving sustainability, community activities and sponsorships, as well as event management.
The Operations Manager will:
- Provide industry advice and insight to Foodland leadership
- Implement key Foodland programs and monitor compliance with stores, which involves a high level of communication, and store visits both locally and to our regional partners
- Be responsible for driving a culture of customer service excellence, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any issues that may arise
- Provide support to the retailers and their teams broadly
- Liaise with and support the broader Foodland team including marketing, analytical functions, and category team
- Grow business revenue through compliance to trading terms, case deals and over and above activities
- Demonstrate effective team support skills, stepping outside of the traditional title as the business requires it
We are looking for:

- Leadership experience FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) or a similar industry
- Advanced organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, complete complex tasks to meet competing deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of detail
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- A pro-active and positive outlook, the ability to work autonomously and a commitment to excellence
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with results-oriented attitude
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work with hard deadlines

What are the “must haves” to be considered for this role?
- Supermarket Experience (highly desirable)
- Experience FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) or a similar industry
- Tertiary qualification (in a related business discipline) is highly desirable
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for excellence, with a high level of detail
- Exemplary communication and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of effective relationship management
