Caledonian Mechanical Group are currently searching for a highly motivated and qualified Operations Manager to join our team.
A new opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director, this role will assist in achieving the operational objectives of the business with senior management direction, whilst actively ensuring we deliver our broad range of services in a safe and cost-effective manner.
This is a full-time role based out of our Osborne Park office.
Role:
- Managing the success of our field service and workshop based teams working through the state on remote mining and civil projects
- Develop new and lasting relationships with new clients and partners
- Build our team by developing current employees and attract new talent to the business
- Emphasising and developing company safe systems of work whilst leading and mentoring our people on safety compliance, performance, and employee welfare
- Nurture our company values by maintaining a respectful, effective, cohesive, and reciprocal working relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external to CMG ensuring responsibilities, targets and results are successfully achieved.
- Leading from the front to support and mentor our teams in appropriate ways that develop trust, high levels of engagement and empowerment and enable individuals to provide their best efforts.
- Regular site visits to audit / inspect all asset maintenance related activities and provide direction and coaching. In line with the group strategy.
- Manage business relationships with OEM's and Sub-contractors.
- Be able to Identify, quantify and manage risks and opportunities across all areas of responsibility.
- Use initiatives / Innovation seeking improvements to meet financial performance targets and drive efficiencies.
Key Requirements:
- Trade Certification- Heavy Diesel Mechanical and/ or qualifications / or Mechanical Engineering.
- Several years' experience in mining, earthmoving or similar industries managing civil and mining projects.
- Demonstrated previous experience in Operations Manager role.
- Excellent safety awareness and leadership.
- Good verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across various stakeholders.
- Ability to work well within and lead a team environment achieving organisational objectives.
- Disciplined financial management being able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of relevant costs and analysis to achieve optimal outcomes.
