Operations Manager - Health Protection
Exciting opportunity to contribute to a fresh, new integrated approach to improving population health in the Gippsland Region of Victoria
Monday to Friday roster (on call and roster flexibility may be required at times by prior arrangement)

Based in Gippsland, Gippsland Region Public Health Unit led and coordinated by Latrobe Regional Hospital are looking for an Operations Manager - Health Protection to join our Gippsland Region Public Health Unit on a full time, fixed term basis until 30 June 2024.
The establishment of the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU) has strengthened the public health response to communicable diseases and other health responses within the Gippsland region. The GRPHU is part of a new system of devolved public health units across Victoria to provide a new state-wide system of public health delivery and oversight.
This is an exciting position to play a key leadership role in the operations of the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU). This position requires the ability to lead, manage and monitor a high functioning team in working together to improve the health of the Gippsland community. This will be achieved through fostering and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at a local and state level and applying a strong knowledge of public health principles.

We are looking for candidates with:
Tertiary qualification in a health profession or health administration/business management degree
Experience in leadership and management
Demonstrated skills and experience in partnership development, communication, and negotiation. Including excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, research and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
