The Operations manager is responsible for developing an operational organisational strategy which addresses production needs and feeds into, and aligns with, the wider site strategy.
This position is part of the senior leadership team and will be located in Redruth
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work in partnership with the Plant Manager to achieve Quality, Supply, Responsiveness, Cost and Organisational Excellence through the implementation and execution of an effective operational strategy to drive excellence throughout all manufacturing operations
- As a key member of the Management team, work with colleagues to deliver site KPIs, providing support where necessary to others
The essential requirements of the job include:
- The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in Management within a large company and regulated environment
- Proven Leadership, Management, Team building and Coaching skills
- Ability to think and operate strategically
- Solid understanding of lean strategies and continuous improvement tools
- Strong collaborative and influential skills
- Use of relevant computer systems including MRP, MPS, SAP/ERP and Microsoft office
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Strong business acumen
- Manufacturing processes
