Your Opportunity
As a key leader within the Education Portfolio, you will contribute to the strategic and operational planning processes to ensure the provision of quality, cost effective teaching and related education and training services. You will lead and manage highly effective educational delivery teams to provide options to exceed the needs of the market and customers in a contemporary learning and teaching environment.
This position reports to the Director of Faculty.
This is a Temporary Full Time opportunity, to 27 June, 2025 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Southport however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all processes follow ANMAC accreditation standards as per TQ submission for Higher Education Bachelor of Nursing course and contribute to all reporting and application submissions as per ANMAC requirements.
* Support the Director of Faculty in the general management and operations of the Bachelor of Nursing program including managing educational and administrative processes on behalf of the Faculty with particular regard to higher education processes.
* Establish and maintain quality networks and working relationships by engaging with external and internal stakeholders including TEQSA and other relevant industry bodies to advance the standing and reputation of the organisation and drive outcomes for TAFE Queensland.
* Analyse performance data against negotiated key performance indicators to identify required remedial action and ensure targets are met.
* Utilise innovative business solutions in timetabling activities for the Faculty and teams ensuring programs are financially viable, resourced effectively and adhere to educational qualification outcomes.
* Working in collaboration with the Director of Faculty and key staff, support and where required, lead processes to resolve human resource management aspects within the Faculty, including staff induction and mentoring, negotiation and development of staff performance development plans, leave management and professional development and industry currency.
* Engage with and/or represent TAFE Queensland in consultative processes with industry such as Course Advisory Committees, peak bodies, business and employers.
* Provide recommendations, information and intelligence to support the establishment of consistent product, pricing, promotion and placement for TAFE Queensland in alignment with TAFE Queensland's competitive positioning and brand strategy.
* Maintain an understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE including financial and business performance and any impact from external factors.
* Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.

Highly Desirable Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in business and/or extensive industry experience.
* Knowledge of both the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and/or Higher Education sectors.
* Experience working within a similar position or dual sector environment.
