Role Requisites:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Chemtrans business for a dedicated Operations Supervisor to enjoy the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the operations functions comply with relevant HS&E, Compliance, Quality and Human Resources & General Administration practices.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining vehicles and equipment as per legal and Company requirements by zero overdue services. Meet all requirements for servicing and maintenance in line with both company and NHVAS standards.
- Plan the daily Loading and Delivery functions.
- Regular communication with drivers and customers to proactively resolve issues before they arise.
- Display a high-level communication understanding of customer requirements and appropriate skills in dealing with internal and external customer needs by solving all issue on same day.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet customer requirements in a professional manner by 98% on time delivery and all deliveries are correct and complete.
- Deal with all customers in a positive, courteous and respectful manner.
- Coordinate all fleet maintenance activities as required.
- Lead, train and motivate employees to ensure maximum productivity and safe work outcomes.
- Maintaining high standard of delivery performance to meet customer expectations and KPI’s.
- Effectively manage company resources to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Actively promote the range of company services to current clients and generate new business opportunities.
- Communicate with senior management any matters that affect the overall Operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in Transport is a must.
- Supervision, Allocation of Line Haul (BFM experience)
- Desired experienced with Dangerous Goods, Wharf Imports/exports.
- Established operational planning and fleet management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of road transport & fatigue laws
- Ability to set and meet targets.
- Strong Safety focus – safe systems of work
- High level customer service with the ability to develop and sustain solid relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Sound Computer skills and system savvy
- Effective leadership and people management skills with ability to delegate.
Pre-requisites:
- To undertake a pre-employment medical which will include drug and alcohol screening.
