Steamatic is Australia's longest established and largest restoration company with over 35 locations throughout Australia and growing each year.  We are now looking to recruit a capable, self-sufficient Operations Supervisor to schedule works, coordinate local people and operations and support our dedicated Perth team.

About the role

  • Manage cleaning and restoration standards via audit results, achieving contractual service level KPI’s, meeting budgets and ensuring adherence to all OH&S compliance requirements.
  • To lead, manage, coordinate and oversee the Operations and scheduling for the branch.
  • Management and leadership of a diverse and geographically spread service delivery team.
  • Manage cleaning and restoration operations by developing and managing work schedules, assigning and monitoring work, implementing productivity standards, resolving operational challenges, maintaining reference manuals and implementing new procedures.
  • Attending to customer service issues and escalations.
  • Manage and control costs to ensure they are contained within scope / budget.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered safely, efficiently and to 100% of specifications and compliance.
  • Provide leadership by ensuring team members understand performance targets and goals and that team members are properly trained and inducted for their roles.
  • Identify and implement any opportunities for improvement in relation to day- to-day delivery of services. 
  • Establish an environment that encourages continuous improvement and quality outcomes. 
  • Coordination and maintenance of the branch to ensure services are monitored and delivered at the required standard and optimum utilization achieved.
  • Indirect supervision of site technicians to ensure services are delivered to required standards.
  • Contributing to the branch profit and growth objectives through superior project management, cost control and nurturing successful business relationships with existing clients.
  • Coordination of training and qualifications for Operations team.
  • Facilitation of monthly tool box meetings and WHS consultation and communication.
  • Control of customers goods to ensure they are safely stored, secure and entered into the Warehouse System.
  • Conduct stocktakes and ensure that all equipment, materials and chemicals are kept stocked and asset register is maintained.
  • Control of key registry, first aid boxes, servicing of equipment and vehicles.
  • Providing Management reports and overseeing billable hours and maximising technician utilisation via scheduling processes and procedures.
  • Participation in on call and after hours roster

Skills and experience

  • Experience working within Restoration or with an insurance builder preferred however general building, construction or other field service related fields highly regarded
  • Ability to train, mentor and lead staff
  • Implement and monitor safety standards and requirements including delivery of toolbox talks and communication
  • Proven high level of customer service and management skills across diverse team/skill set
  • Demonstrated problem solving, strong analytical and project management skills
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and staff rosters
  • Simultaneous ability to work independently and liaise with Senior Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate IT skills re Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Experience and knowledge of cleaning and restoration standards, practices, and procedures – Advantageous. Internal and external training also provided
  • A strong commitment to and understanding of Quality, Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Management systems
  • Certifications in EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space will be highly regarded
  • Full Drivers licence & Forklift licence required
  • Construction Induction required
